Club History

Knight Riders Cricket Club was first officially launched in 2010, starting out as a "humble novice team" in the Grade IV of the Aberdeenshire Cricket Association. The club was founded with a simple goal — to bring together cricket enthusiasts in Aberdeen and build a team that could compete at every level.

What began as a small group of passionate players quickly grew into one of the most successful cricket clubs in the North East of Scotland. Within a few seasons, Knight Riders had risen through the grades and established themselves as a genuine force in Aberdeenshire cricket.

Today the club runs four competitive teams — the 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI and KRCC — and has accumulated 23 honours including multiple league titles, cup wins, and a historic run of three consecutive Aberdeenshire Cup victories from 2021 to 2023.
